This Privacy Policy explains the policy and procedures of Chiyoda Technol Corporation (the \u201cCompany\u201d) concerning the collection, use, disclosure, etc. of the information (the \u201cPersonal Data\u201d) of people who live in areas other than Japan (including temporary residents in the EU and the United Kingdom of Great Britain).<\/p>\n

In principle, this Privacy Policy shall be governed by the General Data Protection Regulation (the \u201cGDPR\u201d).<\/p>\n

          3. Collection of Personal Data<\/h2>\n

          The Company may collect the Customer\u2019s Personal Data described below.<\/p>\n

          • – Last name and first name<\/li>\n
          • – Telephone number<\/li>\n
          • – Address, state, province, postal code, city, ward, town and village<\/li>\n
          • – Name of company, organization, etc. to which the Customer belongs and name of department to which the Customer belongs<\/li>\n
          • – Passport information in addition to that described above, and other information, etc. from which the Customer\u2019s identity can be verified<\/li>\n
          • – Participation history of meetings, events, etc. hosted, hosted jointly, supported or sponsored by the Company<\/li>\n
          • – Usage data of website operated by the Company * (Automatically collected when using the website)
            * Usage data may include information such as the Internet protocol address of the Customer\u2019s device (e.g., IP address), browser type, browser version, pages of the Company services visited by the Customer, date and time of visit, time spent on these pages, and unique devices.<\/li>\n
          • – Information necessary to perform the legal obligations of the Company and to protect the interests of the Customer in addition to that described above<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

            The Company will not acquire the Customer\u2019s sensitive Personal Data (race, ethnic origin, political opinions, religion, ideological beliefs, trade union membership, genetic data, biometric data for personal identification purposes, biometric data for personal identification, health, sex life, sexual trends); provided, however, that this shall not apply if the purpose is to protect the rights and interests of the Customer and there is an express consent of the Customer.<\/p>\n

            4. Purpose of and Legal Grounds for Processing of Personal Data<\/h2>\n

            The Company may process the Customer\u2019s Personal Data for the following purposes and on the following legal grounds.<\/p>\n

            • – To negotiate a contract with the company, organization, etc. to which the Customer belongs and to perform the concluded contract<\/li>\n
            • – For the Company to perform its legal obligations<\/li>\n
            • – For the Company to protect the Customer\u2019s important interests<\/li>\n
            • – For the Company to exercise the public interest or the public authority of the Company<\/li>\n
            • – If the Company has obtained the Customer\u2019s consent to the handling of the Customer\u2019s Personal Data for a specific purpose, to fulfil such purpose<\/li>\n
            • – To propose products and services to the company, organization, etc. to which the Customer belongs as part of legitimate interests and legitimate business activities of the Company; provided, however, that this shall not apply if the Customer\u2019s interests, basic rights or freedom to seek protection of the Customer\u2019s Personal Data prevails over the interests of the Company.<\/li>\n
            • – To invite the Customer to meetings and events hosted, hosted jointly, supported or sponsored by the Company as part of legitimate interests and legitimate business activities of the Company; provided, however, that this shall not apply if the Customer\u2019s interests, basic rights or freedom to seek protection of the Customer\u2019s Personal Data prevails over the interests of the Company.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

              5. Legitimate Interests<\/h2>\n

              The holding of the Customer\u2019s Personal Data by the Company is of legitimate interests in the business of the Company.<\/p>\n

              The Company will use the Customer\u2019s Personal Data within the legitimate business scope of the Company.<\/p>\n

              6. Recipient of Personal Data<\/h2>\n

              The Company may provide its Affiliates and Business Partners with the Customer\u2019s Personal Data for the performance of contract and the legitimate interests of the Company.<\/p>\n

              7. Transfer of Personal Data to a Third Country<\/h2>\n

              In principle, the Company will not transfer the Customer\u2019s Personal Data to a third country other than Japan.<\/p>\n

              Reports, columns, etc. written by the Customer may be published on the website of the Company. In such case, the Personal Data will be posted to the extent required by the Customer with the Customer\u2019s consent.<\/p>\n

              8. Period of Holding of Personal Data<\/h2>\n

              The Company will hold the Customer\u2019s Personal Data only for the period necessary for the purposes of processing the Customer\u2019s Personal Data. The Company will hold and use the Customer\u2019s Personal Data to the extent necessary to comply with the legal obligations and perform the Company’s contractual obligations and this policy.<\/p>\n

              9. Customer\u2019s Rights<\/h2>\n

              The Company guarantees the Customer\u2019s rights described below with respect to the Customer\u2019s Personal Data held by the Company.<\/p>\n

              • – Right of access to the Personal Data:<\/strong> The Customer may request that the Company confirm the existence of the Customer\u2019s Personal Data, confirm the type of the Personal Data held by the Company, and disclose the Personal Data.<\/li>\n
              • – Right to correct the Personal Data:<\/strong> If the Customer\u2019s Personal Data held by the Company is inaccurate, the Customer may request that the Company correct the Personal Data.<\/li>\n
              • – Right to erase the Personal Data:<\/strong> The Customer may request that the Customer’s Personal Data held by the Company be erased; provided, however, that this shall not apply if the Company holds the Customer\u2019s Personal Data as its legal obligation.<\/li>\n
              • –Right to restrict the handling of the Personal Data:<\/strong> If there is any doubt about the accuracy of the Customer\u2019s Personal Data held by the Company or the Company illegally handles the Customer\u2019s Personal Data, the Customer may request that the handling of the Personal Data be restricted.\n <\/li>\n
              • –Right to assert objections to the handling of the Personal Data:<\/strong> The Customer may file an objection with the supervisory authority of the GDPR with respect to the handling of the Customer\u2019s Personal Data.<\/li>\n
              • –Data portability rights:<\/strong> The Customer may request that the Company deliver the Customer\u2019s Personal Data held by the Company to a third party after converting it into a format that is easy to use electronically.<\/li>\n
              • –Right to withdraw consent:<\/strong> If the Company holds the Customer\u2019s Personal Data with the Customer\u2019s consent, the Customer may withdraw such consent.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

                10. Source of Personal Data<\/h2>\n

                The Company will obtain the Customer\u2019s Personal Data in the following events.<\/p>\n

                • – If the Company has negotiated or concluded a contract with the company, organization, etc. to which the Customer belongs. And if the Company performs the contract.<\/li>\n
                • – If the Customer gains access to the Company through the Company\u2019s website.<\/li>\n
                • – If the Customer provides the Company with the Customer\u2019s Personal Data through the Company\u2019s website.<\/li>\n
                • – If the Company obtains the Personal Data from information on the website published by the company, organization, etc. to which the Customer belongs.<\/li>\n
                • – If business cards are exchanged at exhibitions, events, etc. hosted, hosted jointly, supported, sponsored or participated in by the Company.<\/li>\n
                • – When the Company makes reservations for accommodation, etc. on behalf of the Customer in order for the Customer to participate in exhibitions, events, etc. hosted, hosted jointly, supported, sponsored or participated in by the Company.<\/li>\n
