Establishment-related history
May 1956

Launched an external personal radiation monitoring service with film badges in the Technical Division of Chiyoda Roentgen (currently Fujifilm Medical Co., Ltd.).

June 1958

Founded Chiyoda Appliance in Yaesu, Chuo-ku, Tokyo to manufacture and sell various radiation protective equipment for the prevention of radiation damage, and to maintain the film badge business.

August 1992

Completed headquarters building (Chiyoda Ochanomizu Building) in Yushima, Bunkyo-ku, Tokyo.

April 1996

Renamed the company: Chiyoda Technol Corporation

March 1998

Established Technol Support System Corporation in Hongo, Bunkyo-ku, Tokyo to expand radiation measurement and printing operations.

April 2000

Established Technol Dose Center (currently Radiation Monitoring Center) in Oarai, Ibaraki to start dosimetry services using a new type of glass dosimeter.

April 2005

Established a joint venture company, A Atom Technol Kindai, K.K., with Kindai University to conduct business such as environmental measurements, radioactivity measurements, and research and development of nuclear power and radiation utilization.

Opened a representative office (currently Ibaraki Office) in Tokai-mura.

January 1967

Established Film Badge Center in Nihonbashi (Edobashi), Chuo-ku, Tokyo and started external personal radiation monitoring services using Radiophotoluminescence glass dosimeter (RPLD).

June 1972

Established Oarai Research Laboratory in Oarai, Ibaraki.

Installed X-ray generators and Co-60 irradiators, and started operating a standard radiation dose measurement/irradiation system.

Completed the Film Badge Full Automatic System (FAS) that fully automates film development, density measurement, dose assessment, form output, etc. in film badge measurement.

Enhanced various irradiation facilities for standard irradiation in the Oarai Research Laboratory and constructed the new Research Building.

April 1989

Established the Medical Equipment Supply Department with the aim of advancing into the medical device industry.

Concluded a general domestic agency contract with Nucletron B.V. (the Netherlands) and started selling their MicroSelectron HDR after-loading radiotherapy device in Japan.

Established Monitoring Service System (MOS) on the basis of revised laws pertaining to radiation protection and started operating this system.
